Welcome to CBN Alumni site. This website provides an opportunity for our alumni to reconnect with former schoolmates and give back to the school.

CBN Alumni was officially launched in 28 Jun 2018 by dedicated alumni who believe in creating a strong, engaged and supportive alumni network built on the camaraderie, friendships, memories and achievements of the last 122 years.

In keeping with the school motto “Simple in Virtue, Steadfast in Duty”, we welcome alumni to volunteer to serve in various committees such as Heritage & Culture, Membership, Social & Sports, Student Welfare, Environment & Us and Editorial.

HOW THE

CBN Alumni Started

The Alumni association was started by Nine Old Girls on one rainy afternoon. The establishment of Convent Bukit Nanas (CBN) Alumni association was not smooth sailing with a few Old Girls in the past having made strenuous efforts to set it up.

After seven valiant tries and no Alumni Association in sight, nine former students decided it was now or never. With the 120 years Anniversary of the school in 2019, former students Azian, Trish, Julie, Poal Hong, Premila, Shireen, Jennifer, Vasantha and Rosalind, set up a PROTEM team on a rainy afternoon in May 2018. The PROTEM put a plan underway to launch the Alumni association with an Afternoon Tea event, at the Majestic Hotel.

The Afternoon Tea held in July 2018 was a resounding success, with the launch of the Alumni association by the Bank Negara Governor and fellow Alumnus, Datuk Nor Shamsiah Binti Mohd Yunus.

The Alumni association is now officially registered with Registrar of Societies and has over a 1900 strong membership, comprising alumni that graduated in 1958 – 2020. The Alumni’s vision is to uphold the ethos and values of the school, enshrined with a sense of purpose and charity to the community at large. Charity is an action and as CBNers, we think
